Healing Bay Barn Demolition and Construction

Progress is again in the wind at Longmeadow Rescue Ranch. The old Healing Bay barn (erected in late 1988) was torn down to make way for a new building that will be larger. Healing Bay is used for the quarantine of newly arrived animals and will also have a chute system so veterinarians and employees can treat animals that are not used to being handled. A storm water system has been installed and excavation of the site has been completed. The construction materials have been delivered ( Watch the video) and the building will soon be erected. A site pad has also been completed for the new Potbellied Pig Playhouse which will give us new housing for pigs, goats, sheep and llamas that come into the ranch.

We appreciate the generosity of our donors that have helped with our capital campaign to help us expand so we can help all the horses and farm animals in need throughout the state of Missouri. For more information on the campaign or to donate contact Judy Miniace at (314) 951-1556.
